Step by step instructions on how to use the router jig.

CAUTION:

This router jig is intended to be used with a router table capable of cutting wood. The router cutting bit turns at a high RPM and will cut flesh and bones as easy a wood. Every safety precaution to protect the user from harm should be followed. Those hazards are described in the operating manuals associated with the owner’s router. Please be safe.

  1. Prepare 30 pieces of wood using the plan found on the Home page.

2. Adjust your router table using a 10mm router bit 1.000 inch away from the fence and .660 high.

3. Place two of the wooden pieces you have fabricated into the jig. Tighten the thumb screws. Holding the jig securely slide the jig through the router.

4. Remove the 2 pieces that you just cut and place them in the next location. Add 2 more blank wood pieces to the first 2 location. Repeat this step until all 30 pieces have slots.

5. An additional slot may be added to two of the wooden pieces. This is optional. I found the puzzle can be assembled and dis-assembled without them.

6. Place one piece in the jig using the other piece to assure the clocking is correct. While holding the piece, slide the jig through the router.
